I began puting this site together originally as an easy way for my students to get copies of any resources/lessons they may have lost, but as time went by i ended up adding a few bits for myself too.
On the site you will find guitar and piano resources from rock school theory guides to work sheets on scales and their uses, interesting links and places to learn plus audio backing tracks to help you practice various techniques, scales or generally just to jam along with.
If its music tech you're interested in i'll be adding guides to Logic Studio from sequencing to editing audio to recording and mixing plus links to some of my favourtie blogs/websites and online resources.
You'll also see blogposts, music i'm involved with and the odd set of photos and videos. If you like what you see you can join me over at twitter to get regular updates, say hello on my linked in profile or simply just send me an email. I have a space for my favourite things over there on the right, which i'll update regularly so if you have anything you think i might like music related either drop me an email or send it via my soundcloud dropbox which you can find on the Contact Page.
I'm Jon Hawkesford. I've been interested in music since i was well, born probably, but if you need a more realistic date, since i was 7 and started to play the piano. Since then i've been to school, university, studied music technology, learnt to play the guitar, written, recored in studios( currently dubtransmisions, birmingham), i am technician and lecturer at Bournville College, teach piano and guitar privately and in schools. Have a beautiful and supportive wife Holly and a captivating 6 month old daughter Tessy. I love windsurfing, eating & drinking, watching films, listening to music and so much more.

DYNAMIC RANGE DAY
This a short blog to ask you to visit www.dynamicrangeday.co.uk and join the challenge. Its all about keeping dynamic range putting a stop to over crushed, lifeless music. I'll leave them to fill in the details (they're far more qualified than me) but it has my full support. There's also a fantastic competition so go check it out!
